Quindici: Pariggi
For my second week of spring break I set out to travel across Europe. My first stop was Paris where I stayed for 3 nights with my friend Lily from Brandeis who is studying abroad there for the semester. Although the weather was not the best, I still had a wonderful time exploring the most traveled to city in the world. Lily, who is fluent in French, was a great guide and we saw and did quite a lot in the little time I had there. I truly hope to go back to Paris one day.
Quattordici: con la famiglia
These are photos from the amazing visit I had with my parents and sister when they came for the first week of spring break, about a month ago. During the six days they were in Italy we went to Rome, Venice, Pisa, and of course explored Florence. The last picture is of the roof-top terrace at their hotel - very classy. It was so wonderful guiding the family around Italy. I cannot believe I will see them back at home in one week's time!

Tredici: Siena
Two weekends ago my friend Rebecca and I took a day trip to the beautiful city of Siena. It is about an hour and 30 minutes from Florence is probably my second favorite Italian city after Firenze. The Duomo of Siena (the church with black and white stripes) is unlike any other in the world. The Piazza del Campo is a slanted piazza of red brick that is also quite unique to Siena. For those of you reading this (about 3 people in total!) who are considering traveling to this beautiful Tuscan city, make sure you order Picci when you are there, it is the special pasta of Siena and is very delicious!
